I know they are being serious here, but...

I know they are being serious here and I would expect no less but this article reminded me of that strange girl in college... you know the one. The one with the blue-tinged skin, that ate only vegetables and not very many of them. The one with the hollowed out eyes, vehemently telling you about how the drinking water had all kinds of bad stuff in it. The one that was one step away from covering her room in tin foil.... I could go on, but you get the picture and I know wherever you went to college you knew a person like that :)
Maybe it was the writing style and not the content but this article just cracked me up, so if you need a dose of laughter this morning click the title of this post to go to the article. I think it was the serious comment that they found sex hormones in San Francisco's water :)

  1. Maybe I am the weird girl everyone talked about, but that is not the first time I have heard about this! The sex hormones is funny, but the whole thing is scary to me! I love your blog, thanks for all the great stuff!

  2. The whole thing grosses me out personally, the way the stuff gets into the water in the first place. And if it's in the water in those places why isn't it everywhere? That should mean there's a way of getting it OUT of the water. I guess we don't have enough to worry about, huh?

  3. I'm sorry, but it just cracks me up that people are surprised by this. What did we think would happen when we consume drugs, vitamins, otc's by the handfuls. What goes in and is not metabolized by the body, must come out, subsequently going into the water supply. Unless you want to drink or poop in straight chlorine then it's probably unrealistic to think that all of it can be cleansed out of the water. Consumption reduction might be an idea. I do hate it for the plant and animal life that aren't responsible for it but yet have to live with it. I just really try to not think about it because I know my body cannot live without water...it's proved that to me. So sometimes you just have to weigh your options. Drink water and poop regularly or don't drink it and never go again. I think I'll opt for the former :)
