The Dream Part II

Well, I'm doing my morning stuff, searching for things to share with you and lo and behold SAMHSA has provided me a complete blueprint for how to go about realizing my dream. Never mind that my brain might explode trying to do it, it is there for me to try to implement. I guess now, I will find out just how good my networking skills are because I will need brains far more educated than mine to carry it out...but I already knew that :) I have provided the link for Sustaining Grassroots Community-Based Programs: A Toolkit for Community and Faith-Based Service Providers here, with the title of this post and in the sidebar. I must warn you though, it is 156 pages and does take a few minutes to completely download.

  1. any suggestions for a new printer? preferably one that takes a friggin cheap ink cartridge. I have one of those all-in-one Hewlett-Packard's piece of crap. oh, it prints great if it ever decides to print and i swear I only get about 100 pages of print per cartridge and at $20. a pop that is just more than I can or want to afford. I need to print that bad boy out so I can pour over it until it's ragged :)

  2. You should look into some of the lower end laser printers. They only print in black and white, but they're print per page cost is usually half of ink jet printers.

If you just want it to print this out, you could ask your local copy place (or Office Depot, or Staples) if they can print from the file. That might be your best bet.

  3. Good luck with it! (I got a cheap laser printer - samsung ML1610 although there might be a new model now. Very happy with it - but I'm the last person that should be giving technical advice!).

  4. I don't suppose you still have access to your school computer lab/printer? Those are always great for large jobs.

  5. I used to have a guy in the lab that would humor me and let me print out all kinds of stuff because I was chained to a bus schedule (in my town that's approximately 6am to 6pm)as long as I did it on scrap(whatever color he had) paper. He would probably still let me do that since I hooked him up to openoffice.org on the computers in the lab. I was thinking about office depot and probably will call to see about the price. I was also thinking about printing it out one chapter at a time in the regular lab as my hookup doesn't like to work anytime but 8-5. I'll get it printed one way or the other. Thanks ladies for all the suggestions :)

  6. Hi Prin

I've been enjoying reading your posts and wondered if you would be happy for us to set up a regular link from our site, CareSpace, (http://www.communitycare.co.uk/carespace) a UK-based online community for social workers. The best way to contact me is probably via my blog.

    All the best
    Simeon

  7. Simeon,
I've been trying on an off all day to get your site to come up and have finally decided y'all must be having bad weather over there because I had no trouble yesterday. Anyway I would be honored if you would link to my site. I like your site very much. I don't know if it's on my blogroll but if not it will be as soon as I can get the address to come up. I ran across it a while ago and bookmarked it and got busy and forgot about it. I'm sorry about doing that. I've been kind of scattered lately. I hope you come back over here to read this...Have a good one :)
